another和other在英語中都是另一個的意思，也是英語中很常用的單詞，那么該如何區(qū)分another和other呢？another和other有哪些區(qū)別呢？下面跟著小編來看看吧！

      another可做限定詞、代詞、形容詞。
      作限定詞時意為“又一，另一；另外的，不同的；類似”
      作代詞時意為“又一，另一；另外的，不同的；類似”
      作形容詞時意為“不同的；另一個（人）；類似的”。

      other后既可接可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)形式又可接不可數(shù)名詞，如：可數(shù)，other pencils 其它的鉛筆，other students其他的學(xué)生。不可數(shù)other tea 別的/其它的茶，other information 別的/其它消息。
      作形容詞時意為“別的，其他的，另外的，其余的，（兩個中的）另一個”
      作介詞時意為“其他的，其余的人、事物，另一邊，相反的方向，另一個”

      1. 不定代詞other相當(dāng)于名詞或形容詞，可以在句中作主語、賓語、定語等。相當(dāng)于名詞時，有復(fù)數(shù)形式others。
      作主語：He has two toys. One is for me, the other is for himself.
      作賓語：I have two pictures. You have seen one. Now I will show you the other.
      作定語：There are other ways of helping him out of difficulty.

      2. 不定代詞another是由an和other構(gòu)成。因此它只能代替或修飾可數(shù)的單數(shù)名詞，前面不再用冠詞。可以在句中作主語、賓語、表語和定語。
      作主語：One (girl) wanted to read, and another wanted to watch TV.
      作賓語：Please give me another.
      作表語：She is a fool, and her sister is another.
      作定語：Would you like another cup of coffee?

      3. 對比other與another
     （1）the other 用于兩者中的另一個，表示特指，總數(shù)為倆；another 表示“總數(shù)為三個以上中任意的另一個”，表示泛指。如：
              He has two toys. One is for me, the other is for himself.  
              他有2個玩具，一個是給我的，另一個是他自己的。
              His parents both work in a hospital. One is a doctor and the other is a nurse.
              他父母都在一家醫(yī)院工作。一個是醫(yī)生，一個是護士。（父母為兩個人）

     （2）another 還有 “再……” 的意思，other 有 “另外” 的含義。如：
              Have another cup of coffee, please. 
              再喝一杯咖啡吧！

     （3）后接名詞時，通常應(yīng)是單數(shù)，若修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞，則復(fù)數(shù)名詞前應(yīng)有數(shù)詞或few等修飾。如：
              China picked up another ten gold medals. 
              中國又獲得了10枚金牌。
              I need another few days before l can make up my mind. 
              我還需幾天才能決定。

     （4）one another 與 each other：兩者均表示“彼此”、“互相”。 
              一般認為，each other 用于兩者間，one another 用于三者或以上， 但在現(xiàn)代英語中，兩者常可換用。
              We should always help each other.
              我們應(yīng)該經(jīng)常互相幫助。
